Life’s hard when your not given a chance,
But I look to St. Joseph, as I grow to become a man/
They saying J that you can’t, come take a shot or two,
your household won’t mind, this the lifestyle that you choose/
So tell me what’s the use, if you go out to serve the youth,
if your making all these shots, but these shots are hurting you/
This the truth, I don’t mean to put you on blast for y’all to see,
it’s just, we really mean it, we live 100 percent free/
Cause they see everything from drinking to the drugs,
but we were taught to let them see, everything that God loves/
And thats us being examples, to be servants at His table,
I refuse to be the Cain, as our youth are seen as Abel/
That’s exactly what were doing, wheather the youth see it or not,
that when they look up to you, they see the sins you left up top/
We’ve all seen what it does, to be strangled down by sin,
It’s like pushing away His people, when we trying to let them in/

Don’t go/

In Everything

This weekend, I (Along side the rest of Pacific Region) was blessed with the opportunity of serving and attending Discovery Camp 2012.

I discovered a lot. How much more of a man I need to be, especially at this age. How hard it is to really live the life of a devout Catholic. How patient and honest I need to be with myself. But with that realization, came the love for my service. For my drive to keep serving our youth. That drive to achieve that permanent stay for God in everything I do.

It’s got to start.

Thank you for everyone who took our Creative Workshop.

As well as the Media team for holding the event down on the media side.

“For all the sons and daughters, who are walking in the darkness. You are calling us to lead them back to You.”

Through the Fathers Eyes. Perfect Moments. Friends for Life. Talents. True Love Waits. Freedom to Choose.

Patience.

So, I’m having quite the hard time dealing with a lot going on all at the same time, but I do know that God doesn’t give me anything I can’t handle.

With that said, lately I’ve been tempted to be more and more impatient, especially for the things I have been praying for… I went to adoration today, (for those that don’t know, its a quiet room with a open tabernacle if you will, revealing Jesus Christ) and I just couldn’t really handle a whole lot with my conversation with God.

However, I feel that no matter what the case may be, or how unsure to as why things are turning out this way…It’s all part of the journey to prepare your heart for what’s to come. I was reading a book while in there, and some powerful words caught my eye.

“My grace is sufficient to you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”-God to St. Paul

“Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up.”- St. Paul

Yeah…I may not understand why all this happening, or understand why someone I’m praying for is acting a certain way, or even why I have to run into these things…

But I do know that God will reveal answers to us if we let him be the writer of our story.

I’m praying for my family, friends, everyone else, and you. My faith and works won’t let me give up something I’ve been praying for with all my heart.

STRESS. But I got it. Patience. I’m working on it.

Just a random thought of reflection for the day. Probably won’t make a lot of sense, but it’s okay.

I’m trying. Constantly pacing back and forth on what God wants me to do next. I’ve been praying. For a while now.  I’ve been doing a lot. I’ve been a reading more to further better myself as a growing man, and what stuck to me was that, “Freedom exists to be given away for the sake of love.”

I’m praying for what’s to come. To be that man of God. To stand ground when lifting you to God.

That’s it. Head up. Smile back.

“Christian Courtship”

So, I’m in University again, just wanting to major in English and Creative Writing and I’m in this class that talks ALOT about love and all that stuff. But anyways, I just wanted to share something. It’s actually part of my take home exam. The topic was “Understanding the Battlefield”. For me, that involves three people. 1. Me 2. God 3. Who ever I’m courting. My class doesn’t really understand why. That my reasoning is through, “Christian Courtship”.

God always wants the best for you. So trust the fact that if you are patient, you will be blessed with what you need. If you can break down the poem, good for you. Just notice the stanzas. How it’s written and that it begins with Him, and ends with Him.

Now off to explain this to my class in a 2000 word essay. LOL

Understanding the Battlefield

He’s watching.

She’s waiting.

I’m standing.

He’s reaching for me.

She’s waiting for me.

I’m looking to Him.

He’s telling her to grow.

She’s wondering what’s next.

I’m telling her, “I’ll try.”

He’s telling me, “Go ahead.”

She’s wondering when.

I’m waiting for her to grow.

He’s looking down at us.

She’s patiently waiting.

I’m reaching for her.

He’s standing with us.

She’s waiting with me.

I’m watching her with Him.

Let Go, and Let God,

“And how can they hear, if the message is not proclaimed?”-Romans 10:14
We (CFC-Youth YCOM) would like you to take a small look at what we as youth can do with the media. The poem expresses the truth of the many outlets we have to truly lift it all to God.
“Children, my child. You have all the tools to make it right. I want you to stand still, look at Me before the fights. Change the world, one …story, one image, one gospel at a time. It’s time to take back the light, it’s His time to shine.”
And that is exactly what YCOM Pacific will do for and with all of you. Mark the media with the sign of victory. We’re working on ours. CFC-Youth Canada, it begins here.
